About

Founded in 1983, Clairs Keeley Lawyers are one of Perth’s most respected law firms. Their focus is on providing better legal services for clients without losing the personal touch.

The team understands business and individuals are all different and a single approach to law is impractical. That’s why they adopt a hands-on method to build a unique legal strategy which is right for clients.

Areas of expertise are:

  • Business Law – such as mortgages and other securities, property, franchising, trusts and business sale and purchases.
  • Collaborative Law – we adopt a collaborative method of dispute resolution that is aimed at problem-solving rather than “winning” so you don’t inevitably end up in court.
  • Wills and Estate Planning – drafting of wills, administration of deceased estates and trusts.
  • Family Law – adoption, divorce, children’s matters, property and financial settlements and mediation.
  • Property Law – property and business settlements and mortgages and other securities.

I am extremely grateful to both Debbie Clinch and the whole team at Clairs Keeley Lawyers.
I was always treated with respect, dignity and compassion. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My lawyer, Debbie Clinch, is highly ethical, professional, experienced, competent and confident in her performance in court proceedings and interactions with the other party’s lawyers. Debbie is sensitive and sympathetic to the pain of the process in divorce/separation while also providing realistic expectations. Debbie was accessible at all times. She will go ‘the extra mile’ for her client and is deftly able to pitch her interaction according to the customer’s style and needs.

Clairs Keeley are a long-standing firm that uses their knowledge to assist with all cases across the board. They provide realistic expectations. They are also absolutely respectful and supportive of minorities such as gay and lesbian relationships.
I wouldn’t hesitate using them again, and recommend them to friends.

I’m a New Zealander with Australian citizenship. I rate Clairs Keely with one star. There Standards are pathetic. They bowed down to Sexism in the Law Courts and Family Court of WA. Resulting in this Mother of three young adults in Australia being ripped off, by Husband and Courts. Police abuse occurred. VRO Abuses were committed by rouges in WA courts, corrupt Cops. Whilst I was in NZ. My dodgy mother in law with her lap dog husband. Removed my name from house title deeds. 11 February 2008. To 12 April & 12 August 2011. Via My apparent representative Clairs Keely Lawyers. Result was Public Trustee of WA. Susquestered the monies from Mortgage. Thus continuing with the abuse to this day, that Mr Mills began in the first place, with his WA /NSW cronies. For any woman I would NOT RECOMMEND CLAIRS KEELY TO ANY OF THEM. They are weak minded and willing to to continue DV Family Violence and Gang violence on behalf of the Man and his off spring.

I was tasked with settling my mother’s 20 year old estate, which was by no means either a straight forward or simple affair. Ian Clairs was recommended by a colleague and proved to be more than worth the recommendation. With changes in law, disputes between beneficiaries, Ian gave the effort, patience, knowledge, understanding and guidance to what was at times, a very frustrating saga and resulted in a more than satisfactory conclusion.

My partner’s property settlement was not straightforward. It took 7-8 years to finalise. Lara Anstie, from Clairs Keeley, ably handled the case throughout this period. She was always confident and well prepared when dealing with Magistrates and Judges in Court. There was a mass of documentation and subpoenas. Lara was organized and thorough in dealing with this avalanche of legal paperwork. Her initial choice of barrister was unsuited to our needs. To Lara’s credit she recognized this and arranged for a new barrister. This new barrister proved to be a game changer. He and Lara were a formidable team and secured a good outcome for my partner.
